NYOS:

Finnish instrumental duo NYOS announce new album Growl and will hit the road in support of the release.

Comprised of guitarist Tom Brooke and drummer Tuomas Kainulainen, NYOS are known for their immersive and often physically demanding live shows, having toured intensely throughout their first decade of existence, including tours supporting Zeal & Ardor, Esben and the Witch and The Comet Is Coming as well as appearances at festivals such as Sideways Festival in Helsinki, Fekete Zaj in Hungary and Pelagic Fest in Netherlands. The duo create massive sonic worlds using Brooke’s labyrinthine loops and atmospheric layering alongside Kainulainen’s kinetic drumming, in music that is rhythmic, raw, and eclectic.

Since their formation in 2014, NYOS have carved out a distinctive place within Europe’s experimental and post-rock scenes, characterised by their relentless energy, polyrhythmic complexity, and hypnotic layering.

While still rooted in their signature loop-based approach, Growl is “more ambitious with song soundscapes and compositions”, says guitarist Tom Brooke, naturally embracing a denser, more textured sound with greater attention to atmosphere and tension. https://nyos.bandcamp.com/music
